No need to look for the Pointe des Carmélites on an map, this discreet summit at the foot of the mythical pointe Percée does not appear on it, and yet it is the object of one of the most beautiful off-trail hikes. It is distinguished by the magnificent lapiaz that precedes its summit and forms an exceptional natural adventure ground. Its summit offers a remarkable viewpoint sheltered from the most popular trails.

LA PIERRE MARQUEE
 
The marked stone, an erratic limestone block that was deposited by the movement of a glacier, delimits at the foot of the combe de Tardevant, the communes of Grand-Bornand and La Clusaz. This stone, about one meter long, is dated 1755 and marks the end of a conflict that lasted nearly 300 years.
