Savoyard meal in the village square with commentary of the peaks on the Aravis Mountain range, followed by a dance... Organised by the Mountain Rescue Team and the Local Guide Company.
Program:
- 2:30-5pm: forest hike with a mountain guide (€7/person), 6 years and up, advance booking at the Tourist Office recommended,
- 3pm-5pm free workshops: climbing knots, mountain animals and slacklining with guides,
- 3pm: refreshment stand opens,
- From 4pm: preparation of polenta over a wood fire,
- 5pm: mountain rescue demonstration on the church steeple,
- At 5.45pm and 7.15pm: Highline demonstration,
- From 7.30pm: Savoyard meal with music by the "Cocktail des Montagnes" group,
Menu: diots/polenta, cheese, pastries, coffee,
- 9:15pm: climbing demonstration by the Bureau des Guides,
- 10:10pm: guided illumination of the peaks of the Aravis Mountain range,
- 10:30 pm: ball of July 14 with the group "Captiv".
Additional shuttle buses on line A:
- departures at 8:30pm, 9:30pm, 10:30pm and 11:30pm from the "Office de tourisme" stop in Grand-Bornand Chinaillon,
- departures at 9pm, 10pm, 11pm and midnight from the "Gare routière" stop in Grand-Bornand village.
