Fête de l'Alpage, a traditional festival with a lot of events focusing on life on the mountain pastures. From open-air mass to herding dog demonstrations, not forgetting the woodcutter competition, there's something for all ages!
Programme:
- 9.30am: Pedestrian race (one adult and one children's course),
- 10.30am: Mass,
- 12 noon: Descent from the mountain pastures and country-style meal hosted by the Orchestre d'Harmonie du Grand-Bornand,
- From 12 noon: Country-style meal (raw vegetables, meat, chips, cheese, dessert).
From 1.30pm:
- Savoyard folklore,
- Cow milking competition,
- Herd dog demonstration,
- Woodcutting competition with the region's best woodcutters,
- 3.30pm: Grand parade of floats on the theme:
"Over the course of time: the great periods of History",
- 6pm: Lumberjack competition final,
- 6.30pm: Demonstration of Reblochon / Tomme blanche cheese making,
- 7pm: Aperitif/dinner hosted by the group Captiv.
- From 7.30pm: Country-style meal (raw vegetables, meat, chips, cheese, dessert).
From 10pm :
- Fireworks display,
- Free DJ dance.
Throughout the day:
- Demonstrations of traditional crafts by old-timers,
- Introduction to climbing,
- Numerous activities for young and old,
- Grass skiing competition.
Bus service line A Le Grand-Bornand Village / Le Chinaillon reinforced all day and extended in the evening.

- from the Grand-Bornand Village bus station at 10am, 10.55am and 11.35am, then every hour from 1pm to 6pm and every 30 minutes from 7.30pm to 10pm.
- from the Floria stop at Chinaillon at 10.20am, 11.15am, 11.55am then every hour from 1.20pm to 6.20pm and every 30 minutes from 8pm to midnight (last departure).

Traffic of all vehicles, with the exception of municipal services, emergency services and organisation vehicles, will be prohibited from 2pm on Saturday 6 August 2023 until 3am on Monday 7 August 2023 on the route de l'Envers du Chinaillon from its intersection with the route des Outalays to its intersection with the impasse du Clut.
Parking:
Volunteers and organisers will be able to park along the route de l'Envers du Chinaillon from the intersection with the impasse du Clut to the intersection with the route de la Floria. To this end, a security checkpoint will be set up by the Police Municipale at the intersection between the route de l'Envers du Chinaillon and the route de la Floria on Sunday 6 August 2023 from 8am until 11pm. Residents of Impasse du Clut and Castel des Neiges will be allowed to use this section of the road. Access to the doctor's surgery will be maintained.
People with reduced mobility: a parking area will be created at the top of the Charmieux.
