Le Grand-Bornand, one of the most successful French resorts in the history of the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, is set to add to its collection following the announcement by the CNOSF (French National Olympic and Sports Committee) that two athletes from the ranks of its Ski Club have been selected as part of the French delegation heading for Milano-Cortina.

Le Grand-Bornand has long been a believer in its young people, and they repay the faith in the spirit of the pioneers of the Ski-Club, rightly nicknamed “the school of champions” and voted French Club Champion several times, which celebrates its centenary in 2023, at the same time as the retirement of three of its most valiant ambassadors: Tessa Worley (double Giant World Champion in 2013 and 2017, two Crystal Globes in 2017 and 2022), Jonathan Midol (Skicross bronze medallist at Sochi 2014) and Bastien Midol (Skicross runner-up in 2013, Crystal Globe in 2019).
The crowning of Damien Levet, European Biathlon champion (sprint) on Friday 30 January 2026, is further proof of the dynamism of the team at the dawn of these Olympics, which will also see the return of a veteran, Lucas Chanavat (cross-country skiing), This will be his 3rd appearance at the Olympics, and he will be joined by Julie Pierrel (cross-country skiing), whose consistency, reliability and extremely promising progress have earned her her first selection for this winter’s ultimate sporting event…
