Le Grand-Bornand has something for everyone, from contemplative skiers to sports enthusiasts. Ideally situated between the Bornes and Aravis massifs, and also host to the French round of the Biathlon World Cup, Le Grand-Bornand offers both spectacular panoramas and opportunities to push one’s limits through a wide range of Nordic and alternative activities.

Fun equipment at the cutting edge

Le Grand-Bornand stands out for its ski area, a balcony overlooking the surrounding massifs where all levels of difficulty rub shoulders, punctuated by state-of-the-art fun facilities. A case in point is the 5-hectare snowpark, overlooked by the signposted but ungroomed Freeride run, one of Grand-Bornand’s legendary descents, with the Dénivel’Maxx and its 1100m of non-stop, thigh-warming runs.

Want to start skiing? The Grand-Bornand ski area is equipped with beginners’ and fun areas for all levels and ages: L’Alpage Express, La Défi Môm’ and Le Môm’Park!

Discover the Nordic ski area

Cross-country skiing has its stronghold in Grand-Bornand, with 74.5 km of trails on which Olympic medallists Lucas Chanavat, Benjamin Daviet and Sophie Chauveau trained from an early age.
The ski area stretches from Grand-Bornand Village (home to the Biathlon World Cup) to the Bouchet valley. There are also numerous groomed trails for snowshoeing and walking.
