Le Grand-Bornand Winter Adventure Trail

Renowned for the beauty of its unspoilt environment, set against the backdrop of the emblematic Aravis mountain range, Le Grand-Bornand invites adventurers at heart to get off the beaten track and indulge in a wide range of activities in close proximity to nature. And there’s no age limit to playing Robinson!

News and advice We tell you all about it!

An exceptional panorama à 360°

Lovers of wide-open spaces will opt for a paragliding flight or a ski touring trip along one of the safe, signposted itineraries running alongside the alpine ski area… all offering unparalleled views of the Aravis mountain range. Or, if you already have a good level, you can opt for a trip to the refuge Gramusset, also known as the refuge de la Pointe Percée, one of the only CAF (Club Alpin Français) high-altitude refuges open and guarded in winter: a sentinel of the Aravis mountains with a sheer drop over the valley, which has earned itself a place on the list of must-do excursions in the region!

Fill up your tank thrills and spills!

Adventure also offers the chance to push one’s limits in practices that resemble initiation rites, such as toumo yoga, also known as “yoga of inner fire”, which involves immersing oneself in the icy water of torrents, duly accompanied by an experienced yogini. Another experience open to thrill-seekers: climbing an ice gully with slopes defying 90° with a state-certified high-mountain guide.
