Le Grand-Bornand Village

Altitude: 1000m

This is the main town, the heart of the resort, at the junction of the Bouchet and Chinaillon valleys, and the gateway to the ski area via the Rosay and Joyère gondolas. The historic center of Le Grand-Bornand, the old quarter huddles at the foot of its church with its emblematic bulbous bell tower, against the backdrop of the Aravis mountain range, and is home to artists’ studios, shops, hotels and restaurants.

Here, the mountains are also the place to be for fun and relaxation! Just a stone’s throw from the old town, the Dahut playground is a delight for little adventurers, while the mini-golf course sharpens the family’s competitive spirit. Need to cool off? Head for the swimming pool and its open-air pools, before taking to the heights on the adventure course. Want to discover the life of yesteryear or simply take an artistic detour? Visit the Maison du Patrimoine, marvel at the Source and discover the Art Vache trail. Climb, slide, dive, discover… and above all, enjoy!
