The Bouchet valley

Altitude: 1000m

The birthplace of Reblochon cheese, the Bouchet valley stretches along the river “Le Borne” between the gently sloping mountain pastures of Mont Lachat and the steeper forests and rocky bars at the foot of the Aravis mountain range.
Home to the Grand-Bornand Nordic ski area, the Bouchet valley also has many other features to admire, such as the hamlets with their century-old chalets with their anchelle or tavaillon (wooden tile) roofs, their chapels and the many farms that bear witness to the strong agricultural activity.
