Due to the constraints and potential risks associated with Contagious Nodular Dermatitis, a viral disease that affects only animals, the Lormay festival has been canceled.
Since 29 June 2025, the Savoy region has been affected by an outbreak of Contagious Nodular Dermatitis (CND) in the municipality of Cessens-Entrelacs. This viral disease affects only animals, specifically cattle. It poses no danger to humans, either through direct contact or through the consumption of dairy products. However, its presence requires the implementation of strict preventive measures, particularly within a regulated perimeter of 50 km around the outbreak.
The Lormay Festival is a day of celebration centred around the customs and traditions of yesteryear, organised by Animation Agricole Bornandine: local traditions revisited, traditional trades and local crafts, folk music groups, country meals and public dances.
