Le Grand-Bornand is a leading centre for aerial sports, starting with paragliding, and owes its international reputation to the fact that it is “ideally positioned in relation to the wind, which means you can fly in several directions, on the east-facing sides in the morning and the west-facing sides in the afternoon, opening up the possibility of trips to Annecy or Chamonix”, explains Maeva Giacometti, three-time French paragliding champion based in Le Grand-Bornand.
