Nordic skiing

Cross-country skiing has its stronghold in Grand-Bornand, with 74.5 km of trails on which Olympic medallists Lucas Chanavat, Benjamin Daviet and Sophie Chauveau trained from an early age.
The ski area stretches from Grand-Bornand Village (where the Biathlon World Cup is held) to the Bouchet valley. There are also a number of groomed itineraries for snowshoeing and walking.

Looking for a little variety? Walking and snowshoeing routes

Discover mountain life and a rich natural, cultural and architectural heritage, as you stroll past centuries-old chalets and chapels on over 86km of snowshoe trails and 43km of groomed footpaths.

New since 2024! Creation of 4 groomed snowshoe and pedestrian routes lasting between 30 minutes and 3h30 starting from the old village of Chinaillon, in place of the old Nordic ski routes:

Magnificent loops on the south-facing slopes, at the foot of the Roc des Tours and the Roc de Charmieux, facing the Alpine ski area and the Aravis mountain range!
