01. The nocturne Mysteries and magic under the starry skies

A lap of the slopes under the stars! The cross-country ski trails are accessible at night, by headlamp.

  • Last return of the special night-time G line skibus at 8.29pm from Lormay and 8.33pm from Les Plans.

The Dévallée du Bouchet is a Nordic ski trail that takes you back to the village of Le Grand-Bornand.

This beautiful route takes you through a variety of Alpine landscapes and offers a stimulating sporting challenge.

Downhill from Lormay or looping back from the village, choose the route that suits you best.

04. Biathlon The Alliance of endurance and precision

Biathlon combines cross-country skiing with rifle shooting, testing not only the athletes’ physical fitness, but also their calm and precision when tired.

The sport demands a perfect balance between speed and concentration, offering participants a complete challenge.

As well as being an exciting sport, we have had the honour of organising several World Cup stages, showcasing our passion for the sport and attracting athletes from all over the world.

05. The Danay tour for experienced cross-country skiers

The Tour du Danay is a demanding 12km cross-country skiing route, ideal for experienced skiers in search of exceptional panoramas.

This loop passes through forests and mountain pastures, offering an immersion into the heart of nature with splendid views of the surrounding mountains and villages.

Technical and varied, it also forms a link with the La Clusaz – Les Confins Nordic ski area, allowing you to explore a wider network of pistes in the heart of the Aravis massif.

06. The skibus Easy access to the domain

For easy access to the Nordic ski area, take advantage of the Skibus, which provides easy access to the various entry points to the area;

  • Le Terret (village)
  • Les Plans (golf course)
  • Lormay (Nordic hostel)

Whether you’re leaving from the village or another area, this free, practical service will take you as close as possible to the cross-country skiing and snowshoeing routes.

Accessible to all, it strengthens the cardio system, improves posture and lets you enjoy the benefits of the outdoors, while being gentle on the joints.

10. The backcountry Off-piste cross-country skiing

Cross-country ski touring or backcountry skiing combines the technique of cross-country skiing with the exploration of natural terrain, often off the beaten track.

Skiers use wider skis and sealskins to make the ascent easier. Once at the top, the skins are removed for a smoother descent.

It’s a complete physical activity that lets you discover the mountains in a different way, in a calm, unspoilt setting.

Le Grand-Bornand is a true land of champions, with many athletes who have left their mark on the history of world sport.

The resort is regularly represented on the World Cup circuit, particularly in biathlon, alpine skiing, Nordic skiing and snowboarding.

With an impressive record of 16 Olympic medals, 39 world medals, including 17 world championship titles, and 7 crystal globes, it continues to nurture the ambitions of new talents such as Sophie Chauveau, double world champion in the relay.
