Itinerary used for a long time by the inhabitants of the slope - schoolchildren in particular - to reach the village before the road called "Nant Robert" was built, the vertical ascent of Carchet goes up from the bridge of Suize (921m) to the cross of Arces (1690m).

The summit offers a 360° view on the surrounding summits, and the possibility to come down by a less committed itinerary via the hamlet of Nant Robert, from the arrival station of the Joyère cable car.
