Otgb Alpin 2025┬®c.hudry 24The highest point in the ski area, at 2100m, Mont Lachat offers a 360° view of the Aravis range, with Mont Blanc just above in the background, the Tournette, Bornes and Bargy massifs, as well as great views of the southern Alps, the Jura and the Chablais in the distance…
At the top of the eponymous chairlift, this is undoubtedly the best view in the region of the Aravis mountain range, whose spectacular succession of peaks marks the horizon for over thirty kilometres, between the emblematic peaks of Pointe Percée and Mont Charvin.

H22 Vue Village T.vattard Le Grand Bornand Tourisme 038Seen from the forest path, which can be reached on a pleasant walk along the slopes, this is a bit like the Bornand ‘postcard’, with the heart of the village clustered around the church and its famous bulbous bell tower against the backdrop of the Aravis mountain range, imposing its majestic silhouette in the background. A classic of Alpine imagery, like no other.
Iconic, it is in a way the emblem of Grand-Bornand: a hamlet of two-century-old chalets with the patina of the centuries and their graceful chapel with its tavaillon bell tower, offering a unique balcony overlooking the ski area wrapped around Mont Lachat. Probably one of the most photographed sites in the Alps…

H21 Col Des Annes .p.guilbaud Le Grand Bornand Tourisme Dscf1642A somewhat secret spot, perched at the far end of the ski area and overlooking the Col des Annes, accessible via the chairlift of the same name. In the icy silence, the view of the Pointe Percée and the string of valleys and ridges of the Aravis is breathtaking, as is the impression of the end of the world emanating from the Col des Annes and its hamlet asleep under a thick blanket of snow.
Against the backdrop of the village, discover the splendid Bouchet valley at the foot of the Aravis mountain range, a favourite area for Nordic skiing, which takes you all the way to the famous Col des Annes.
