An event supported by Le Grand-Bornand since 2008,
Glisse en Coeur combines a 24-hour ski race with support for a number of children’s charities, with each new edition of this pioneering “snow marathon”. In 16 editions, this charity event in the French mountains has supported 31 associations, which have shared the sum of 5,428,866 euros in donations. Under the aegis of the Fonds de Dotation pour l’Enfance, the umbrella organisation for Glisse en Coeur’s ‘sister’ events such as Vendée Cœur and the more recent Danse en Coeur, the Bornandin event is a heavyweight on the national scene of major charity events.
As a catalyst for goodwill, it will once again be showcasing the generosity of mountain people from 20 to 22 March… and this year it will be held in aid of Ma Chance Moi Aussi, an association based in Chambéry that was founded in 2015 by André Payerne, an entrepreneur in the metal industry who is sensitive to social inequalities. It works for equal opportunities in priority neighbourhoods to give a real chance to children who have the least.
