Envisaged as a new lever for developing the spirit of sharing that animates the resort, the labelling process is supported by a group of elected representatives, technical experts, socio-professionals and representatives of civil society. Far from representing an end in itself, obtaining the Flocon Vert label nonetheless validates Le Grand-Bornand’s commitment to sustainable development, based on twenty criteria incorporating the notions of governance and economic balance, as well as socio-cultural aspects and the management of natural resources.
