Aravis flavours

In Le Grand-Bornand, we eat local!

Aravis flavors, the assurance of local consumption

Saveurs des Aravis is a network that brings together all the economic players in the region who sell and promote farmhouse cheeses and local produce from the Aravis region. It is aimed at all those who have the opportunity to offer products from the Aravis, “in all their forms”: farmers, direct sellers, cheese-refiners, restaurateurs, retailers and food artisans.

Aravis flavors, an innovative network

By adhering to a charter covering the welcome, quality, origin and production conditions of their products and services, Saveurs des Aravis professionals are committed to promoting the region and its special features. The key strength of this network is that it includes a wide range of players: Comité agricole du Pays de Thônes, Union des producteurs de Reblochon Fermier (UPRF), producers’ associations, tourism service providers, heritage and environmental associations, Société d’Economie Alpestre (SEA), SYTALP partners, and more. These players help to create a real synergy and give rise to innovative projects that generate ideas and results.

Aravis flavors, an active network

Saveurs des Aravis also involves a wide range of communication initiatives to raise awareness of the region, its products and traditions. Present at the Salon de l’Agriculture in Paris, at the Palais Gourmand in Thônes, and in schools for the very young, our professionals are keen to share their values and pass on their knowledge. The “Montées à l’Alpage” event is just one example of an event created by the network. This year, more than 10 farms took part, welcoming almost 300 tourists.

Consumers Saveurs des Aravis means

  • Help bring our mountains to life.

  • Play an active role in maintaining our unique agricultural heritage, which is rooted in tradition but evolves with the times.

  • Become a player in a region whose natural and cultural environment is second to none.
