Since 29 June 2025, the Savoie region has been affected by an outbreak of Contagious Nodular Dermatosis (CND), in the commune of Cessens – Entrelacs.

This strictly animal viral disease exclusively affects cattle. It poses no danger to humans through direct contact or consumption of dairy products. However, its presence requires the implementation of strict preventive measures, particularly within a regulated 50 km perimeter around the outbreak.

The Lormay festival is cancelled this year.
