Lachat chairlift

Following on from the Rosay gondola, the Lachat chairlift is accessible to pedestrians and paragliders. Please note that mountain bikes are not permitted on this chairlift.

At the top, there’s an open-air leisure esplanade with petanque courts, giant wooden games, relaxation and picnic areas, a labyrinth, panoramic footpaths, etc.

A new feature! Take a refreshing break at the Café des Pisteurs:a range of sweet snacks and a variety of refreshing drinks available to take away.

Enjoy a magnificent 360° panoramic view of the Jura, the Aravis, Bargy, Bornes, Bauges and Chablais massifs and the summit of Mont Blanc.

In this exceptional setting, take a stroll along the new panoramic trail (550m) and, in July and August, before it opens to the public, (re)awaken your senses with an unforgettable Morning Yoga!

Hiking Routes accessible from the estate 160 km of signposted hiking trails

There are so many itineraries to choose from, between pastures and high mountain scenery, either on your own or as part of the services offered by the Compagnie des guides et accompagnateurs des Aravis. You’ll discover an intense pastoral life punctuated by the making of the famous farmhouse Reblochon cheese, and the wealth of local architecture, flora and fauna: chamois, ibex, marmots and the lammergeyer, Europe’s largest bird of prey.

MOUNTAIN BIKE Routes accessible from the estate 178 km of marked trails

The Grand-Bornand mountain biking area has 178km of signposted trails, with 16 itineraries of varying difficulty. There are plenty of opportunities to discover the natural, cultural and built heritage of the village, the largest farming community in Haute-Savoie, its flora and fauna, and to meet the people of Le Grand-Bornand.

Paragliding Le Grand-Bornand, a benchmark spot

Le Grand-Bornand owes its worldwide reputation to the fact that it is “ideally positioned in relation to the wind, which means you can fly in several directions, on the east-facing sides in the morning and the west-facing sides in the afternoon”, according to Maeva Giacometti, three-time French champion in the discipline and a resident of Le Grand-Bornand.
