Camping at Le Grand-Bornand

What you need to know

The mountain pastures of Le Grand-Bornand are private land used by farmers to graze their herds.

Camping is permitted, subject to compliance with camping regulations, only:

Around the Pointe Percée mountain hut,
near the Bombardellaz refuge

Please note that camping is strictly prohibited in certain neighbouring areas, and offenders will be fined:

The entire municipality of Glières-Val-de-Borne, including Lake Lessy and its refuge
The Peyre mountain pasture

In order to preserve a highly fragile and vulnerable ecosystem, swimming in the mountain lakes within our area and neighbouring municipalities is strictly prohibited.

Camping rules

Permission from the operator or owner of the premises
Late set-up (at sunset)
Dismantling early in the morning (at sunrise)
One night only at the same location
No fires, zero waste
Minimal impact on the ground and vegetation
Silence and calm so as not to disturb wildlife
