Ski area and ski resort for beginners
Beginners‘ areas: before you set off to conquer the red and black runs, try your hand at skiing in the various specially-designed beginners’ areas. For their safety, don't forget to put a helmet on your children.
Several family-friendly areas await you:

the Môm'Park, a freestyle area for children located near the Serpentine piste: snow modules, Box, Flat, Up down, Rainbow will allow young riders to express their full potential.

the Défi'Môm: a slalom arch and bollards, a gallows with a bell, a distorting mirror, a rotating character, a suspended curtain... so many fun modules on the theme of cows and agriculture to discover on this downhill run on the Les Églantines piste.
- 3 rest and relaxation areas: if you want to take a break, recharge your batteries or those of your mobile phone and admire the superb scenery around you from the comfort of your own chair, you can take advantage of the rest and relaxation areas at the top of the Rosay gondola, at the top of the Maroly chairlift and in the Snowpark.
- The Charmieux service centre, with a new ESF reception point, ski lift ticket office, ski locker, childcare centre and public toilets all under one roof... linked to a new beginners' area. The beginners' area includes an ESF kindergarten and a free, covered, wide-belt carpet for everyone. Free parking and a shuttle bus stop on the snow front at the foot of this area.
Le Grand Bornand is a beginner-friendly ski resort with 3 ski areas reserved for novices:
- From Grand-Bornand Village, at the top of the Rosay gondola lift, a large beginners' area with the Alpage Express carpet and Les Raîches ski lift. There is also a safe, signposted toboggan run.
- From Grand-Bornand Village, at the top of the Joyère gondola, a plateau of gently sloping runs served by a chairlift and two ski lifts, with a magnificent view of the Aravis mountains.
- At Grand-Bornand Chinaillon, on the snow front:
- At the foot of the Charmieux chairlift, the Outalays carpet, with free access.
- At the foot of the Floria and Châtelet chairlifts, a Le Castor snow line, with free access.
Snowpark: ranked as one of the best in France, the SnowparkGB offers different levels of lines, including 1 XS (beginners) and 1 S (beginners), as well as a Big Air Bag.
Downhill ski passes
Take advantage of age-specific rates, the TRIBU family ski pass, the MINI-DOMAINE ski pass and free lifts. Our family ski resort in Haute-Savoie offers a wide range of discounts so you can ski with complete freedom.
- FREE ski pass for children under 5 on the first day of the ski pass.
- JUNIOR ski pass: reduced rate for 5 - 14 year olds
- TRIBU ski pass: for families with at least one child under the age of 18
- MINI-DOMAINE ski pass: reduced rate for a sector ideal for beginners, comprising 13 lifts in the Grand-Bornand alpine ski area with 2 gondolas, 3 chairlifts, 5 drag lifts, 1 snow wire and 2 conveyors.
- DUO ski pass: a 6-day ski pass to share, for parents who want to alternate between looking after their child and the joys of skiing!
- Free ski lifts: Alpage Express and Outalays carpets, Le Castor snow wire.
