Plants and light ... These are the main ingredients of this creative workshop that will allow children to discover the secrets of the trees that inhabit our forests through an original and unknown, completely natural photographic process: the anthotype.

The class is welcomed by mediators from the Maison du patrimoine. After learning about the different types of herbarium that exist and their uses, students work in pairs to create a spinach-based solution that makes sheets of paper light-sensitive. They then create their own photographic herbarium page with plants and leaves of their choice. During the exposure to the sun, students discover the plants around them through games and sensory activities. When the photographic process is complete, students take their creation home with them. Workshop done partly indoors, partly outdoors: provide clothing adapted to the weather (rainwear, walking shoes). Teachers are responsible for their group during the course of the activity.
