Description

Enjoy a new signposted trail leading to the summit of Mont Lachat, passing by two magnificent lakes – Lac de la Cour and Lac du Maroly – and take in the most stunning view of the Aravis range
From the top station of the Rosay cable car, head towards Lac de la Cour for 30 minutes. Then follow the path alongside Lac du Maroly for 1 hour. 30 minutes later, you’ll reach the summit of Maroly. Head towards the Sentier des Bartavelles for 45 minutes, then follow the panoramic path to the Yoga Area at the summit of Mont Lachat (10 minutes). You’ll arrive at the Mont Lachat Leisure Esplanade, where you can grab a drink at the Café des Pisteurs. Return via the same route. Alternative: from the top station of the Rosay cable car, you can take the Lachat chairlift up and walk back down the path (tickets must be purchased at the ticket office at the foot of the Rosay cable car; please check opening times). Mountain bikes are not permitted on the trail. Please behave respectfully towards the natural environment throughout your hike: Before setting off: - check the weather forecast. In the mountains, the weather can change quickly, so make sure you’re prepared for heat, rain, wind and fatigue, - don’t forget to take water with you, - let someone know the route you’ll be taking. During your walk: - stay on the marked paths; do not cut across the countryside, - do not startle livestock; do not cut wires and make sure you close gates, - Observe wildlife from a distance, - Nature is not a rubbish bin; keep your rubbish with you and dispose of it in the bins provided in the villages, - Do not overestimate your abilities; some routes require good physical and technical skills. On your return: - Rehydrate, - Please let us know if you have any comments.
