Description

You can do it! The signposted direction was chosen to make the only climb on the circuit as easy as possible and to allow you to stay close to the lake, especially for the section after Talloires.
To make sure your tour around Lake Annecy is a real highlight, follow these tips: Start your ride clockwise, which will let you cycle along the water’s edge after Talloires; set out in the morning before it gets too hot; turn off the main road at the 4-kilometer mark, after the short climb up to Chavoire (a sign will guide you there); and bring everything you need for a swim! Until the major improvements announced are completed, the 3 km stretch on the main road between Menthon-St-Bernard and Talloires will require your full attention (especially on the steep, narrow, and winding descent into Talloires). The rest of the route is a dream—both along the eastern shore of the Petit Lac, where there are plenty of great spots for swimming, and on the greenway built on a former railroad track. You’ll also find several picnic tables here and there. Your route will end after you’ve bypassed the port of Annecy, in front of the old City Hall.
