Description
The Heritage house and the House of Valérie welcome you for the 43rd European Heritage Days.
Guided tours, games and activities are available for all the family.
Open on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September 2026 from 10.00 am to 12.00 pm and from 2.00 pm to 6.00 pm.
With a focus on photographic heritage, the European Heritage Days offer an opportunity to discover, through photographs of varying ages, details of the Maison du Patrimoine that are rarely mentioned during guided tours.
Tours start at 11.00 am and last 1 hour.
Come and discover the history of prisoners from Le Grand-Bornand during the Second World War through our temporary exhibition.
You can admire the sketches by Flo Des Chenets, which highlight the architecture and wildlife of Le Grand-Bornand. The artist will be present to chat with you throughout the weekend.
Continue your explorations outside the Maison du Patrimoine with our treasure hunt, which will lead you on a journey of discovery to uncover the secrets of Le Grand-Bornand.
At the Maison de la Valérie, open only on Saturday 19 September, volunteers from the Association du Patrimoine Bornandin will show you how a museum’s storerooms work and how objects not on display at the Maison du Patrimoine are preserved.
