The Lormay Festival is a day of celebration centred around the customs and traditions of yesteryear, organised by Animation Agricole Bornandine: local traditions revisited, traditional trades and local crafts, folk music groups, country meals and public dances.

Haystack throwing, woodworking, grandma's coffee, bread baking in the Lormay wood oven... will enliven the day. Pony rides, giant wooden games will delight the youngest. It is also an opportunity for visitors to (re)discover the secrets of making ancelles and tavaillons, the famous wooden tiles that make - among others - the reputation of Grand-Bornand. Refreshments and snacks (potato fritters...) on site all day long. Program 2025: - 10 am (all day): herding dog competition, sheep-shearing demonstration, - 10.30 am: Mass under the big top, - 11 am: Pedestrian race (organised by Team SNGB), - 11.30 am: Concert by the Grand-Bornand brass band, - 12 pm: Meal on site, Adults: raw vegetables, mechoui or sausage and chips, cheese, ice cream or pastries. Menu 20 €, Children: sausage and chips and ice cream. Menu 10 €, - 12.45 pm: Folk dance by the Lou Saint Jeandin group from Saint Jean de Sixt, - 1.15 pm: Calf parade by the very young farmers of Grand-Bornand, - 1.45 pm: Presentation of our mountain goats, - 2.15 pm: Haymaking of yesteryear - presentation of the horse's work of yesteryear, demonstration of skidding, - 2.45 pm: Presentation of the sheep of the Savoie region and the job of sheep farmer, - 3.30 pm: Descent of the mountain pastures, - 4.30 pm: Milking the cows, - 5 pm: Concert by Magalie la Yodleuse des ARAVIS, - 6 pm: Demonstration of how to make farmhouse Reblochon - Tommes blanches, - 7 pm: Country-style meal, Tartiflette, cold meats, salad and ice cream or pastries or tomme blanche, cold meats and ice cream or pastries. Menu at €18 - 7.30 pm: Les Pitounes d'Hubert and their accordions, - 8.30 pm: Free dance with "Les Musicos", - From 10.30 pm to 2 am: FREE BALL with live music by "Les Musicos" Bus service every 30 minutes from 9.30 am to 12 pm, 1.30 pm to 6.30 pm and 8 pm to 11.30 pm from the bus station and Tardevant car park. Return from Lormay every 30 minutes from 9.45 am to 12.15 pm, from 1.45 pm to 6.45 pm and from 8.15 pm to 11.15 pm. Last return at midnight. Special information for the pedestrian race: 3 classifications: U10, U14 and over 14 years old, 2 departures: U14 (1 lap or about 1,5 km) and + of 14 years old (2 laps), Children are under the responsibility of their parents, Price: 5 € for adults (+ 18 years old) and 3 € for children, A free drink will be offered when returning the bibs, - 10.30 am: registration on site, - 11 am: 1st start, - 12:15 pm: end of the races.
