National Day at Chinaillon 13 July 2026

A summer’s evening just the way we like it, with music, games and fireworks, in the heart of Chinaillon.

2026 programme

Free entertainment (bouncy castles, giant wooden games, etc.), concerts, followed by a fireworks display. Refreshments and light snacks available on site.

  • 4.00 pm: bouncy castles and giant wooden games, free to use,
  • 4.00 pm–7.00 pm: face-painting workshop (price: €5), upstairs at the Tourist Office; registration required at the Tourist Office (limited places),
  • 6.30 pm: entertainment and display of various fire engines, organised by the Grand-Bornand Fire Brigade Association,
  • 7.30 pm: concert by the Grand-Bornand Wind Orchestra,
  • 8.30 pm: concert by the band “Red Balloons”,
  • 10.20 pm: fireworks display, followed by a DJ night.

Extra shuttle buses on route A (Le Grand-Bornand Village / Chinaillon):

  • departures at 8.00 pm, 8.50 pm, 9.40 pm, 10.30 pm and 11.20 pm from the “Gare routière” stop in Le Grand-Bornand Village,
  • departing at 8.20 pm, 9.10 pm, 10 pm, 10.50 pm and 11.40 pm from the “Le Jalouvre” stop in Le Grand-Bornand Chinaillon.

13 July:

  • Traffic will be prohibited from 3.00 pm to 9.00 pm on the main street in Chinaillon, from the junction by the Hôtel des Cîmes to the Maroly roundabout; a diversion will be in place via the Route de l’Envers du Chinaillon.
  • All vehicles will be prohibited from using the Route du Chinaillon from 9.00 pm to 11.59 pm in the section between the “La Bouillote” restaurant and the “Saveurs des Alpes” shop.

From 12 July:

  • Parking will be prohibited for all vehicles in the Tourist Office car park from 9.00 am.
