Co-organised by the Domaine Skiable and the Ski-Club du Grand-Bornand, the event, which is set to become part of the region’s trail competition calendar, is designed to promote the village spirit and friendly atmosphere that are the hallmarks of Grand-Bornand, by involving trail-runner Iris Pessey.
A local child, the outdoor ambassador of Grand-Bornand (3rd in the 2023 World Skyrunning Championships, 2nd in the 2021 World Vertical Kilometre Championships, etc.), who also set the world record for the round trip from the village square to the summit of Pointe Percée in a time of 3’36”4 during the Fête de la Montagne in 2024, has already set the benchmark time to be beaten as part of a “Challenge Iris Pessey” to stimulate participants: 20’41”5.
All day long in the entertainment area in the Rosay car park near the La Joyère gondola: Pasta party, music, refreshments and entertainment organised by the Grand-Bornand Ski Club.
What’s more, the descent is by gondola!
Use of local products for the refreshments, reduction of waste (each participant must bring their own reusable cup), limited use of markers, selective sorting, etc…
You’ll still have 160 km of signposted hiking and trail routes to discover!
After the effort, a pasta party is a must!
Sharing and exchanging ideas: We’ll climb together and enjoy the scenery at the top!
