The ascent is via the Rosay cable car. The descent (4.1 km) takes you through a variety of landscapes: alpine terrain, woodland, and the hamlet of Nant Robert, where there is a pretty chapel dating from 1762 that has retained its original architecture.
It is possible to walk up to the top station of the Rosay cable car from Le Grand-Bornand Village by taking the Route du Nant Robert to the start of the path located above the Nant Robert chapel. An 8.2 km round trip.
Alternative: from the top of the Rosay cable car, you can take a return trip to the summit of Mont Lachat de Châtillon.
