Fête de l'Alpage, a traditional festival with a lot of events focusing on life on the mountain pastures. From open-air mass to herding dog demonstrations, not forgetting the woodcutter competition, there's something for all ages!
Programme:
- 9:30 am: Start of the foot race (one route for adults and one route for children),
- 10.30 am: Holy Mass,
- 12 noon: cattle drive and country meal accompanied by the Orchestre d'Harmonie du Grand-Bornand,
- From 13:30: Savoyard folklore, cow milking competition, herd dog demonstration, lumberjack competition with the best lumberjacks in the region,
- 3.30 pm: Grand float parade with the theme :
“The Olympic Games: from Atlanta 1996 to Paris 2024...”,
- 18.00: Final of the lumberjack competition,
- 6.30 pm: Demonstration of the production of Reblochon,
- 7 p.m.: aperitif/dinner with music by the Captiv group.
- From 7.30 pm: country meal (raw vegetables, meat, chips, cheese, dessert).
- From 10 p.m.: fireworks and free dancing under the direction of a DJ.
Throughout the day :
- Demonstration of old trades by the elders,
- Introduction to climbing,
- Numerous activities for young and old,
- Grass skiing competition.
Bus service line A Le Grand-Bornand Village / Le Chinaillon reinforced throughout the day and extended in the evening.
Departures :
- from the Grand-Bornand Village bus station at 8.10 am, 8.50 am and 9.50 am, then every 20 minutes from 10.10 am to 12.10 pm, every 15 minutes from 1.20 pm to 6.40 pm and every 30 minutes from 7.30 pm to 11.30 pm.
- from Floria to Chinaillon at 8.25 am, 9.05 am then from 10.05 am to 12.25 pm, every 15 minutes from 1.35 pm to 6.55 pm and every 30 minutes from 7.45 pm to 11.45 pm (last departure).

Traffic of all vehicles, with the exception of municipal services, emergency services and organisation vehicles, will be prohibited from 2pm on Saturday 6 August 2023 until 3am on Monday 7 August 2023 on the route de l'Envers du Chinaillon from its intersection with the route des Outalays to its intersection with the impasse du Clut.
Parking:
Volunteers and organisers will be able to park along the route de l'Envers du Chinaillon from the intersection with the impasse du Clut to the intersection with the route de la Floria. To this end, a security checkpoint will be set up by the Police Municipale at the intersection between the route de l'Envers du Chinaillon and the route de la Floria on Sunday 6 August 2023 from 8am until 11pm. Residents of Impasse du Clut and Castel des Neiges will be allowed to use this section of the road. Access to the doctor's surgery will be maintained.
People with reduced mobility: a parking area will be created at the top of the Charmieux.
