Hut and fire making. A walk to discover the forest through tricks and tips for making a hut.
Who doesn't have a tree house in the corner of their mind? Imagined and hoped for, realised and then abandoned to the whims of the seasons to come.
A hut built on a summer's day to store up dreams. A hut whose construction and fragility have sealed long-lasting friendships... It's important for children to experience all this, to taste the unforgettable flavour and pleasure of creating worlds so close - and so far - from the noise of the city.
Each new tree house is a home, and so opens up the possibility of an invitation to others. In this way, the child invents hospitality. Building a tree house means helping to create a new reality.
With some friends, we're going to build a tree house in the woods using string and branches, moss, ferns, leaves, etc. First we have to choose a good spot, against a rock, between some trees, etc. Then we have to collect everything this corner of nature has to offer and imagine how it will be used: roof, walls, windows, entrance, etc.
Then we have to choose a name for the hut, build shelves, a kitchen, even a toilet... And to top it all off, we build a fire in front of the hut so that our friends can grill marshmallows together... It's great!
For more detailed information guide service office hours at the Tourist Office (Maison du Tourisme) are from 6 PM to 7 PM, in July and August.
