Savoyard meal in the village square, with a host of events including a guided illumination of the peaks of the Aravis mountain range, followed by a dance... Organised by Secours en montagne and the Bureau des guides du Grand-Bornand.
PROGRAMME :
- 2pm-6pm: free workshops: climbing, slackline, climbing knots and mountain animals with guides and mountain leaders,
- 2.30-5pm: forest walk with a mountain guide (€7/person), from 7 years upwards, book in advance at the Tourist Office,
- 3pm: opening of the refreshment area,
- From 4pm: preparation of polenta over a wood fire,
- 4pm: departure of Iris Pessey for a trail-running record attempt to climb the Pointe Percée and back from the church in Le Grand-Bornand
- 5pm: Mountain Rescue demonstration on the church tower,
- From 7.30pm: Savoyard meal with music by the group "Cocktail des Montagnes",
Menu: diots/polenta, cheese, pastries, coffee,
-Around 8pm: arrival of Iris Pessey for her record-breaking ascent of the Pointe Percée and back.
- 9.15pm: climbing demonstration by the Bureau des Guides,
- 10.10pm: guided illumination of the peaks of the Aravis range,
- 10.30pm: 14 July dance with the group "Captiv".
