We look forward to seeing you in Grand-Bornand from March 22 to 24, 2024 for a new human and solidarity adventure, to the benefit of the Endowment Fund for Children with the flagship association "Alpysia" ! A charitable and festive event!
PROGRAMME 2024 :
"ALPYSIA", THE CAUSE OF THE 15th EDITION OF GLISSE EN COEUR
Alpysia was formed on 23 May 2023 from the merger of ADIMCP 38 and ADIMC 74. These two associations, founded on the initiative of parents, have been working for almost 60 years to help people with cerebral palsy and their families. Alpysia provides practical solutions so that people with cerebral palsy or multiple disabilities can live with and among others, respecting their differences and their free will. The association has a strong presence in Haute-Savoie, where it runs 15 establishments, and in Isère, where it is involved in the life of 7 structures, and works in the fields of education, care and health, work and training, accommodation, home support, sports and culture, as well as leisure and holidays. 60% of the donations collected on Glisse en Coeur* will be used mainly to help renovate the children's facilities at the Institut Guillaume Belluard in Annecy, where some of the buildings dating from the 1970s have fallen into serious disrepair and the reception conditions have become truly unworthy and contrary to Alpysia's wishes in terms of good treatment for the children and teenagers, 89 of whom live there all year round in boarding or semi-boarding accommodation. In this context, Alpysia would like to go further and offer the children and teenagers sports facilities, an essential complement to the rehabilitation and teaching activities carried out by the centre. For the children and teenagers at the centre, it is also a diversion from the constraints of disability and the source of experiences that allow them to surpass themselves, generating pride and confidence. The renovation budget, already hard-fought with the public authorities, does not include the provision of these specific facilities. That's why Alpysia turned to Glisse en Coeur for funding for adapted sports equipment. It's a fact that prompted the members of the Ethics Committee of the Fonds de Dotation pour l'Enfance to unanimously choose this organisation, whose values of humanism, commitment and solidarity echo those of the Grand-Bornand charity event, since the subject of people with motor and cerebral disabilities has never before been dealt with as such by Glisse en Coeur.
GOAL 2024: 160 TEAMS OF SKIERS AND €800,000 IN DONATIONS!
This success is based on its original concept: a snow marathon with music, bringing together celebrities and anonymous skiers. Their common challenge: to ski in teams and in relays for 24 hours non-stop (each edition represents almost the equivalent of a circumnavigation of the globe, on skis, on the slopes of Le Grand Bornand), and above all to win a race to the finish.
Bornand), and above all to win a Dantesque fund-raising race for the benefit, in particular, of the Alpysia charity this year (see opposite). The overall winner of this 15th edition will be the team that collects the most donations over the last few months. To take up this challenge, there's only one watchword: activate your networks, multiply your initiatives, and encourage your family, friends and professional contacts to donate to your team in order to increase the overall total and collectively reach the target of €800,000 set by the president of Alpysia, Joëlle Petit-Roulet.
CHARITY EVENINGS
CHARITY DINNER - 22 MARCH - 7:30PM
A "Top Chef" in the kitchen! An unconditional supporter of Glisse en Coeur, to the point of having gone so far as to combine a dinner for... 450 covers (no mean feat!) and skiing in solidarity all weekend with his brigade, chef Yoann Conte, two Michelin stars, recently voted "Chef of the Year 2024" by Gault&Millau and co-host of the latest season of Objectif Top Chef on M6, will once again be treating guests to "Glisse en Coeur, the charity dinner".
In addition to his entire brigade, who have come together for the first time in Grand-Bornand, Yoann Conte will be able to count on the support in the kitchen of Marc Veyrat, of the no less media-friendly Juan Arbelaez, his sidekick and friend from Objectif Top Chef. Also taking part are Edouard Loubet, famous for being France's youngest Michelin-starred chef at the age of 24, two-starred Jean-Pierre Jacob and the icon of Annécian gastronomy, Michelin-starred Maître Restaurateur and Maître Cuisinier de France Georges Paccard!
All this to the cleverly twisted tunes of the Polish MozART Group, celebrated the world over for their highly original approach to classical music...
Price: €80/person. Espace Grand-Bo, Le Grand-Bornand Village
