An easy tour to see the hidden-side of this little mountain from Annecy.
Direction: counter-clockwise
Landmarks and connections: Epagny; Sillingy (split with Tour de la Mandallaz n°6, Boucle du Rhône n°16 and Tour du Vuache n°17); Nonglard (joint return with Boucle du Fier n°15).
Description: Joint start, through Cran-Gevrier, with Tour de la Mandallaz n°6, Boucle du Rhône n°16 and Tour du Vuache n°17. Once over the Brassilly viaduct, a succession of cycle paths and lanes take you via Gillon to Epagny, whose redeveloped center is full of charm. Another track, which avoids the main road, runs along route départementale 908b. Follow it as far as Chaumontet and then continue along small lanes towards La Petite Balme. Cross the RD1508 carefully, then reach the Sillingy roundabout. This is where the different circuits separate and where the Tour de la Montagne d'Age really begins. The small road crosses former marshes before skirting the forest that covers the whole "mountain". You then come to the RD14 at Nonglard, and take time to pass through the village center to see the lantern for the dead (a unique monument in south-east France). The return journey is made in common with the Boucle du Fier n°15 and the Boucle du Rhône n°16, via Lovagny, Poisy and the Brassilly viaduct. In Lovagny, admire the Château de Montrottier below the village.
From 01/01 to 31/12.

You can do it! The signposted direction was chosen to make the only climb on the circuit as easy as possible and to allow you to stay close to the lake, especially for the section after Talloires.

One of the area's great classics, with a beautiful descent between Serraval and St-Ferréol, and an easy return leg along the Annecy Cycleway.

A very athletic circuit that culminates with an ascent of the Col de la Colombière. Cycling the route clockwise minimises the time spent on the busy main road through the Arve Valley and allows you to climb the shady side of the Colombier.

Quieter than the Aravis, with a superb, sinuous descent.

Also called the "Prince of Wales" in honour of one of the most prestigious visitors to have cycled the route. The view of Mont-Blanc from the Col des Aravis is not to be missed.
