We look forward to seeing you in Le Grand-Bornand from 21 to 23 March 2025 for a new human and solidarity adventure with 4 associations: Les Puits du Désert, Association Laurette Fugain, Compagnie Après La Pluie and Women Safe & Children!
PROGRAMME 2025 :
An event supported by Le Grand-Bornand since 2008, Glisse en Coeur combines a 24-hour skiing challenge with support, for each new edition of this pioneering ‘snow marathon’, for a number of children's charities. In 15 editions, this charity event in the French mountains has supported 27 associations that have shared nearly €5 million in donations.
170 TEAMS TARGET €800,000 IN DONATIONS
Officially launched this Thursday evening in the lounges of Annecy's Impérial Palace, the 16th Glisse en Coeur will be taking to the slopes of Le Grand-Bornand from 21 to 23 March, with the main cause being Children with a capital ‘E’, symbolised by the struggles of four main associations. Les Puits du Désert, chaired by adventurer Christel Pernet, is working to provide access to drinking water and, by the same token, schooling for children in the Sahel. The Laurette Fugain Association, led by the indefatigable Stéphanie Fugain, which fights leukaemia. The Compagnie Après la Pluie, led by the charismatic actress Cathy Darietto, which opens the doors of art and creation to young patients in paediatric haemato-oncology wards in France's university hospitals, including La Timone in Marseille. And Women Safe & Children and its Haute-Savoie branch, renowned for its free, multidisciplinary support for children and women who are victims of violence, and co-chaired by Catherine Garnero and Christophe Songeon.
GLISSE EN COEUR RHYMES WITH SOLIDARITY
These associations will share equally some 60% of the 800,000 euros in donations expected at the end of the event, with the bulk of the remainder going to five or six sponsored associations, soon to be designated on the basis of a call for projects launched by the Fonds de Dotation pour l'Enfance and its ethics committee.
PRESTIGIOUS SPONSORS
The lively evening also provided an opportunity for patron Stéphane Thébaut to reveal the first highlights and personalities who will be supporting Glisse en Coeur this year.
In addition to Yoann Conte, voted ‘Chef of the Year 2024’, who will once again be providing the 450 meals at the charity dinner on Friday 21 March, and the skippers who are the heroes of the Vendée Globe and who are currently embarking on the ‘Everest of the Seas’, this year's guests will include actress Juliette Tresanini, patron of Women Safe & Children, film producer and director Elie Chouraqui in his capacity as patron of Puits du Désert, and actors Antoine Duléry and Frédéric Diefenthal.
On stage, not one, but two solidarity concerts will entertain the teams of skiers taking part in the race for donations (now open online) on Saturday 22 March, starting with M. Pokora and his festive, generous pop, followed by Dutch DJ phenomenon Bakermat.
A single watchword from now on, chanted in unison by all the stakeholders in this 16th edition of Glisse en Coeur: ‘together, stronger, higher, bigger for the cause of children!
